Yamaha F370 is the next in line from Yamaha guitars after the F310 acoustic guitar. Construction – wise there is little difference between Yamaha F370 and Yamaha F310. The back and sides in F370 are made of Nato wood laminate rather than spruce laminate as in case of the F310. The top is the same laminated spruce which is used in F310, the earlier model we saw. Laminated wood brings down the price of this guitar to an affordable level. This guitar also doesn’t have built-in pickup just like F310.
Sound-wise frankly I didn’t find much difference between the Yamaha F370 and F310. Even during recording sessions, I have exchanged these guitars frequently and checked. My ears couldn’t find much difference other than usual tonal difference which could happen due to any reason like age of strings. Overall, wonderful sound and good play-ability. Pros and cons of this guitar also are same as Yamaha F310.
This is a no-frills full sized dreadnought acoustic guitar from the trusted brand Yamaha. The F370 is an excellent guitar for beginners and mid level guitarists.

I have also embedded a video of this guitar for your convenience. You can make a decision based on the sound quality and also the pros and cons I have listed below.
Yamaha F370 Pros & Cons
- Standard length and good brand value
- Full bright tone with better balance than most guitars in this price range
- Non-cutaway model of acoustic guitar which means it gets difficult to play higher than 14th fret. However, 95% notes that you will play as a beginner will fall above 10th fret.
- Laminate wood can never match the quality of solid wood but again, that comes with a price
- Does not come with pre-fitted pick-up
- The package does not contain any accessories like gig bag, tuner, etc.

Positive Reviews from Buyer
This one is from an Amazon UK customer – “The neck is comfortable and really accurate. The frets are perfect and the intonation is fabulous. Straight out of the box this is the best set-up acoustic I have ever bought (and I’ve bought a few over the years). Even full barre chords at frets above 13 are clean and perfectly in tune…similarly with open chords. The action is 100% and the machine heads are very smooth and accurate and hold pitch excellently. A month later and it just gets better. Possibly the best 4 weeks of guitar I’ve had for many years.
Everything still tight – intonation perfect – frets perfect. My playing had dropped to much less than an hour a week but I’m currently playing the Yamaha an average of 2 hours a day – and would do more if this was possible. Six months later and no change. This is a serious bit of kit at a bargain price. I can’t recommend it higher. Still 10/10 and a joy to own and play.”
Negative Reviews from Buyer
The only negative review I found was this – “I am using this since last couple of months. No doubt the sound quality is excellent, but be cautious with this seller” – Here the purchaser is negative about the seller rather than Yamaha F370. He has not mentioned why. So, I take it as stray comment. Other than this, it was surprising to find NO negative review for the Yamaha F370 acoustic guitars.
