Here is a video from Samson to give you more idea of what to expect when you buy this mic:
Samson MTR201 Pros & Cons
- Comes with good amount of accessories such as shock mount and pop filter. The package also includes a hard carry case. Hence, you don’t have to invest in all these accessories separately.
- There is a 10 db padding switch on the mic. This can be used to reduce the input gain by 10 db. Hence, you can record high decibel sound sources like drums or distorted guitar with this mic.
- There is no polar pattern selection switch. Although at this price such a feature is a bit too much to expect.
- No XLR cable provided. Thus, you will have to buy a 5 meter or 10 meter XLR cable separately.
