The B500 utilizes an electronically controlled ND filter (-2.0 EV) instead of an iris diaphragm for aperture. The slowest available shutter speed during normal shooting is 1 second. When shooting in the continuous high speed mode, Nikon reports that B500 will be able to capture 7 full-resolution images at up to 7.4fps.
