The Ibanez PF15 Performance Series Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar comes with Spruce top and Mahogany back and sides. Wood quality is better than the V50 combo guitar and that reflects in its sound quality as well. This guitar doesn’t come in combo. However, at this price you can’t ask for more. The rosewood fingerboard is smooth and even. Playing these Ibanez acoustic guitars requires less effort, especially for beginners.
Some people complain of high action. For those who don’t know, Action in Guitar is the distance between string and fretboard. More action means more effort to play, since you have to press the strings harder. Less action means you will require lesser strength to play. However, when action goes too low, frets begin to make a buzzing noise. Hence, in order to avoid this ‘fret buzz’, Action should be properly adjusted. All Ibanez acoustic guitars have an adjustable truss rod to adjust the action. You can do it yourself or visit the local instruments repair shop. It hardly takes 100 bucks.
The Ibanez PF15 Performance Series Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar comes in 41 inch full size. Wood quality is better than the V50 combo guitar and that reflects in its sound quality as well.

Ibanez PF15 Pros & Cons
- Made of good quality solid spruce and mahogany
- Full and balanced sound because of its wood quality. There is a fair amount of sustain too
- Quality of fretboard is also quite good
- No cutaway design. Therefore reaching the higher frets is a hard task sometimes
- No built in pickup. Cant use this without a mic. However, when you start recording you will know mic is so much better than pick-ups sometimes
