Audio Technica AT2020 is the basic entry level mic by the world famous Japanese brand Audio Technica. The microphone brings a lot of quality in its construction and sonic features. This is a well balanced mic with nearly linear frequency curve from 200 Hz to 5 KHz. Rest of the pattern below 200 Hz is tiny bit muffled and the top end above 5 KHz becomes a little bit airy. Overall, it is a wonderful microphone at this price point.
This is an all round budget mic for the basic recording studio best used for voice overs and light acoustic songs

You will need a mic stand and an Audio Interface or Mixer with your computer to start recording with this mic. Other accessories are included. So, a 20 feet XLR cable and pop filter are enough to keep you going. You can buy a shock mount later which will help to reduce unwanted noise. as well as keep the diaphragm of your microphone away from damage.
